Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) is the ability to detect and interpret the adverse changes in a material in order to improve reliability and reduce the life cycle cost. The basic idea is to pump acousto-ultrasonic pressure wave into the structure at one or more points and collecting the ultrasound signal at one or more points. These collected signals can be analyzed to characterize the defect.

INCOM 1210AL is the V/UHF radio communication system installed on the LCA aircraft to provide Air to Ground and Air to Air communication. There are two INCOM sets installed on the Aircraft. The main set is connected to the Top Antenna and the standby set is connected to the Bottom Antenna.
